I am teaching an “organizational behavior” course this semester. As I was preparing for today’s lecture I came across a personality model I had forgotten. It is the “dark triad,” made of Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy. Machiavellianism is the lust for power and the will to manipulate everything and everyone to achieve it. Narcissism is the love of one’s own body. Psychopathy is the extreme mental disorder marked by egocentric and antisocial behavior.
